- Friday, 10 hour days Pay range $60
- $65 per hour
Job Summary:
Big G is looking for Industrial Journeyman Electricians to work in Alaska. You will work under the direction of Big G's field management team. Journeyman Electricians will be responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting work involved with electrical systems. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.) Run conduit, cable tray, pulling wire, terminating instrumentation and PLC's, motor controls, and 480v & medium voltage terminations. Ability to construct and fabricate; racks, supports. Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications. Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction such as hydraulic/electric conduit benders, knockout punch sets, cable pullers, meggers, and DMM's. Interprets and ensures compliance with electrical codes and calculates line leads to determine wire and equipment size and capacity. Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and tools. May perform both low voltage and medium voltage tasks. Support the zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations. Must have in depth knowledge of conduit, fittings, methods of construction, code in relation to conduit applications. Install electric heat trace.Qualifications:
Must have a verifiable State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman License. Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record. Must have own hand tools, power tools will be provided by Big G.Work Location and Travel:
