Contract (contract to hire for great candidates) On-site in Issaquah and will become hybrid after training 2 openings The EDI System Administrator/Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficient flow of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions that support the organization's purchasing and payment processes with suppliers. This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments (Accounting, Buying, Traffic, and eCommerce), external suppliers, and third-party EDI providers. The position is responsible for onboarding and maintaining trading partner relationships, monitoring system performance, resolving transaction errors, and supporting EDI-related projects and system enhancements. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across technical and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Trading Partner & System Setup Set up and maintain trading partner relationships with suppliers Configure trading partner profiles within EDI systems Establish interconnects with VAN (Value Added Network) providers Exchange data requirements and mapping specifications with suppliers and EDI partners EDI Operations & Support Monitor EDI data flows and ensure successful transmission of documents Work with VAN providers to track transaction status and resolve delivery issues Ensure smooth transition of trading partners from testing to production Data Integrity & Maintenance Maintain Buy UPC Code data and EDI vendor information records Audit system transactions for translation, mapping, and communication errors Review daily reports to identify and resolve EDI processing issues Investigate failed purchase orders, acknowledgements, and missing or incorrect data Technical & Business Collaboration Partner with IT teams to support system upgrades, enhancements, and EDI implementations Assist in developing canonical data models and EDI mapping structures Coordinate testing and implementation activities across business units and vendors Issue Resolution & Reporting Provide first-level support for EDI-related issues and escalations Troubleshoot segments, elements, and transaction failures Monitor communication sessions for errors and dropped transmissions Provide status updates and progress reports on assigned work Project & Additional Support Support EDI-related projects and system rollouts Assist with cross-functional initiatives involving Accounting, Buying, OMS, and Traffic teams Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret user requirements and translate them into system needs Experience working with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, and Excel Ability to work independently and in team environments Strong time management and prioritization skills Preferred Qualifications Understanding of enterprise business applications impacted by EDI Familiarity with departmental workflows (Accounting, Buying, Traffic, OMS) Experience working with suppliers, VAN providers, or EDI translator tools Basic understanding of EDI syntax, mapping, and transaction sets Ability to read and interpret EDI documents Experience in Buying, Accounting, OMS, or Supply Chain environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience mentoring or training others Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field OR Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experienceSimilar remote jobs
