(WG-2610-12), the primary purpose of this position is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibre, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integred electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. The worker in this career field must demonstre the ability to perform on-or-off equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integred systems associed with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial or radar navigion systems. Must have the ability to form and write English in reports and presention forms. : Must have 12 months of work experiences involved installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, calibring, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integred electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. Skilled in performing on-or-off equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integred systems associed with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial or radar navigion systems. Experiences included performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integred systems. Skilled in conducting operional checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of line replaceable units. Capable of isoling unusual malfunctions by using technical orders, schemics, wiring diagrams, tools, and test equipment to include automic test equipment and flight line test systems. Experiences involved solving complex problems by analyzing installion, circuitry, and opering characteristics of the systems. Skilled in adjusting and aligning system sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, transponders, actuors, servos, computers and other reled components. Capable of installing serviceable components into aircraft and performed total systems alignment and harmonizion in accordance with existing technical orders and directives. Skilled in technical order FWS compliance factors, modificion of components/systems, and completed thorough system checks for proper operions. Experienced in maintaining, modifying, calibring and inspecting a wide variety of user tests, measurements, and diagnostic equipment. Skilled craft for installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, aligning, and calibring complete electronic avionics multi-systems controls. Must have a working knowledge of complex aircraft avionics; and/or, electronic circuit maintenance systems such as, the electronics package used in an automed aircraft. Skilled in opering integred flight and integred counter-measures system, electronic multiplex communicions bus, inertial navigion system, multi-function displays, head up display, da transfer equipment, global positioning system, situion awareness da link, da modem, flight control system, pitot-stic system and reled instrumention. Must have experiences in working with the flight director instrumention, central air da computer, engine, hydraulic and fuel quantity indicing systems, voice message warning, very high frequency ultra-high frequency, sellite communicions da, intercom, secure voice communicions, and identificion friend or foe tactical air navigion system. Experiences included work th evalued operional characteristics of the integred systems by observing and analyzing waveforms, voltage, current, power indicions, computer registers and printouts. Skilled in analyzing the malfunctions encountered through fault codes, determines repair sequence process and performs the repairs. Experienced in the review and analyzion of maintenance da. Knowledgeable in determining if criteria are sufficient to provide adeque test, troubleshooting and repair procedures. Experienced in devising and recommending tests, procedural changes, or da corrections. Capable to align, adjust, and perform final calibrions on integred systems to determine successful repairs. Skilled in analyzing equipment failure and malfunctions; and, suggested changes to improve operions. Experiences included monitoring the operions of complex, inter-reled systems, and analyzed opering trends, proposed preventive maintenance down time th assured continued opering capability, and recommended components for overhaul or engineering evaluion for disposal.
