Job Description
The Electronics Technician is responsible for maximum performance and efficiency of all electronics (equipment, controls, wiring, etc.) used in our silo operations. Primary responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, cable building, calibration and repair and maintenance on electronic data acquisition (DAQ)and vega level measurement sensors
Schedule Options:
Monday through Friday schedule available for local candidates. Rotational hitch schedule available for non-local candidates, with housing provided.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, configure and update Programmable Logic Controller LC (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and other electronic equipment and instrumentation Inspect, troubleshoot and repair of electronic equipment; preventative maintenance Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components Use schematics to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems Document repairs, inspections and testing for all equipment Collect data throughout shift to ensure accurate documentation and reporting Perform regular and scheduled maintenance on silo equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations Create and maintain a safe work environment by wearing PPE and following site safety standards Create and maintain a safe work environment by wearing PPE and following site safety standards Communicates operating malfunctions and performance issues to management Performs other related duties as assignedRequirements:
Technical degree or 2 years of electronics experience in the oilfield preferred Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment Strong work ethic with the ability to work under stressful conditions at times Must be able to work a rotational schedule and long hours (day or night), outside with exposure to inclement weather Current valid driver's license and clean MVR for the last 3 years Must be mechanically and technically inclined; able to use smartphone and software programs Must be a self-starter who works well with personnel, management, the public and customers Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and speak English Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach and climb Must be able to carry, push and pull 50 pounds or moreJob Type:
