Immediately Job Description Springville CSD (https://www.springville.k12.ia.us) has an opening for a 1.0 FTE Elementary School Counselor for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is available to anyone with the appropriate Licensure and/or endorsements. Skills associated with the position: analyze and interpret testing data counsel individuals with personal challenges empathize with others during counseling or related activities use counseling and/or grief techniques utilize assessment tools provide instruction and support to students convert information gathered into instructional opportunities communicate student progress conduct parent conferences consult with parents or school personnel to determine student needs establish and maintain relationships with students and families establish and maintain relationships with team members maintain educational records, reports, or files monitor student progress recognize student conflict or challenges record student progress resolve problems in educational settings select teaching materials to meet student needs recognize physical or emotional abuse provide families with community services or resources compile information through interviews use conflict resolution techniques use interpersonal communication techniques use interviewing procedures work collaboratively as a team member follow confidentiality procedures Applicants must complete an online application and electronically upload the following documents to the application: Cover Letter, Resume, Letters of Recommendation, Transcripts
