Opens a new window. Drive the technical direction and development of our smart glasses and mobile products. Provide technical guidance, foster innovation, and deliver exceptional results. Develop firmware and Android components for smart glasses and mobile products. Utilize your deep understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architecture to guide the design and implementation of firmware components. Leverage expertise in C/C++ programming to develop efficient and reliable firmware and Android software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless interaction between firmware, software, and hardware components. Update and optimize firmware drivers to enhance product performance and compatibility. Debug, troubleshoot, and evaluate system performance to identify and resolve issues promptly. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering their growth and development. Define and drive technical work streams, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and leadership to provide project updates, technical insights, and recommendations. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education:

Bachelor - Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field of study; will accept equivalent of foreign degree.

Experience:

Three (3) years in the position above, Staff Engineer, Software Engineer or in a related software engineering role; Experience must include: 1. C and C++ programming; 2. Embedded systems and microcontroller architecture; 3. Android software architecture, including Android HAL and AOSP; 4. RTOS, low-level hardware interfaces and Linux kernel/device driver; 5. Debugging, troubleshooting and optimizing firmware drivers for performance, power and compatibility; 6. Wireless communication protocols, Power management, memory optimization and system performance tuning for resource-constrained environments. 7. Version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.

Use theoretical understanding of electronics engineering to manage all technical aspects of mobile devices products for customers. Work closely with business and product development teams to understand customer requirements, demonstrate technical capabilities and provide sales support. Use technical knowledge to gather, interpret, and translate customer needs into functional and nonfunctional requirements. Work closely with the business development and project teams to win new business, increase sales of mobile products to new and existing customers, build customer relationships and assure quality of services. Use understanding of technical theories and principles to determine customers' business and technical requirements involving product development, before and after sales. Use understanding of sound technical principles to develop consultancy services to meet customer requirements. Support business development and project teams with customer and technical know-how. Six (6) years• in the position above, as Technical Consultant, or in a related electronics engineering or telecom role; Experience must include: Salesforce Mobile or tablet product development HW schematics and datasheets Software development in real-time operating systems Linux or Android software development•Will accept equivalent foreign degree; will accept eight (8) years of full-time relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree; will accept any fully equivalent combination of education, training, and/or relevant work experience.
