  • Full-time Job Overview Join our dedicated emergency response team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), where your vital skills and quick thinking will make a difference in critical moments.
In this role, you will provide immediate pre-hospital care to patients in diverse environments, ensuring their safety and comfort while preparing them for transport to healthcare facilities. Your expertise in emergency medicine, patient assessment, and airway management will be essential in delivering high-quality care under pressure. This paid position offers a dynamic work environment where your proactive approach and compassionate nature will help save lives and support community health. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls, assessing situations quickly to determine the appropriate level of care needed. Provide advanced patient care including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and critical interventions such as airway management and medication administration. Perform patient assessments to evaluate injury or illness severity, utilizing physiology and anatomy knowledge to inform treatment decisions. Conduct triage at the scene to prioritize patient needs effectively, especially in Level I Trauma Centers or during critical care transports. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like venipuncture and ensure all medical terminology is accurately documented. Operate emergency vehicles safely, adhering to driving regulations while managing heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks during patient extrication or transfer. Requirements Valid EMT certification with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proven experience in emergency medicine settings, including hospital experience, ER exposure, or Level II trauma center work. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency procedures such as venipuncture and injection administration. Experience with patient care in urgent care or hospital environments; familiarity with triage protocols is a plus. Ability to perform physical examinations and vital signs assessments accurately under pressure. Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and effective interaction with patients, team members, and medical personnel. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely.
