About Independent Emergency Physicians (IEP) IEP was founded with the purpose of taking care of the patient by taking care of the provider. Since 1997, we've been meeting the healthcare needs of our communities first by providing emergency medicine care, then expanding into hospital medicine, observation medicine, urgent care medicine and post-acute care services. Position Overview IEP is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative, community-focused emergency department with strong support from APPs, nursing, and hospital leadership. Ideal candidates are clinically strong, adaptable, and committed to delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population Perform evaluations, diagnostics, procedures, and treatment planning in accordance with current standards of care Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, consultants, and hospital leadership Accurately and efficiently document all patient encounters in the EMR Participate in departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts Maintain compliance with all regulatory, credentialing, and licensure requirements Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) Eligible for or holding an active Ohio medical license Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (preferred) Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills Why Join IEP?
