Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic emergency department environment where your skills as an experienced Emergency Room RN are highly valued. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped ED unit that averages 85 patients per day and features 22 beds plus surge capacity. The supportive unit culture is characterized by strong teamwork and a solid network of long-term staff members.

Contract assignment Shifts and specific hours to be discussed
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience Active Georgia RN license Current BLS, ACLS, and Basic Cardiac Rhythm certifications PALS and TNCC preferred, but not required National certification in emergency nursing is a plus Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, variable patient acuity, and working as part of a collaborative team Competency with intravenous drip management (including Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed) Experience in phlebotomy, reading cardiac telemetry strips, and using EMR (EPIC environment)
Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care for a variety of presentations including chest pain, stroke, diabetes, abdominal pain, mental health, trauma, and more Manage patient ratios typically between 1:3-4, adjusting to zone assignments Triage, treat, and monitor patients using specialized equipment and technology (Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Philips monitors) Collaborate closely with charge nurses, hospitalists, and other specialists on site 24/7 Actively contribute to a positive, cooperative unit culture Willingness to float within the ED as needed and, on occasion, to a partner facility in
