Emergency Room Registered Nurse Shift -3 12 hour shifts - must be able to work nights/days/weekends/holidays as needed to fill our open shifts Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during critical situations. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care. Responsibilities Assess and triage patients presenting with various medical conditions in the emergency department. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and IV therapies. Perform emergency procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, and utilize aseptic techniques. Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition. Document patient care accurately in accordance with ICD-10 coding standards. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to emergency care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NE. Current BLS certification Previous experience in an emergency room setting is required.
