Employee Benefits Account Manager•Life & Health Insurance Axial Benefits (an ALKEME Company) Burlington, MA (
Hybrid:
3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Base Salary:
$70,000•75,000 + bonus/commission (OTE $90,000•95,000) Axial Benefits, part of the ALKEME family, is actively hiring a Benefits Account Manager with Massachusetts Life & Health insurance experience to support employee group benefits clients . This hybrid role is based in Burlington, MA and supports employers throughout Massachusetts and New England . If you're licensed (or licensable) in MA Life & Health , experienced in group health insurance , and looking for a collaborative brokerage with autonomy and zero micromanagement—this is the role. Key Responsibilities for an Employee Benefits Account Manager Manage and service a portfolio of Massachusetts employee group benefits clients (small and large groups) Support group health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits , primarily fully insured plans Lead annual renewals , benefit comparisons, carrier coordination, and client review meetings Partner with Producers and internal teams to ensure accurate benefits administration, open enrollment, and ongoing service Build strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and problem resolution Qualifications for an Employee Benefits Account Manager 1-3+ years of experience in employee benefits or group Life & Health insurance , preferably within an insurance brokerage or consulting environment Massachusetts Life & Health insurance license (active or ability to obtain within 6 months), with working knowledge of small group and large group benefit plans Proficient in group health insurance administration , including renewals, open enrollment, carrier coordination, and fully insured plan structures Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple employer accounts in a fast-paced, client-facing role Who Succeeds in This Role Client-first, service-oriented professionals Team players who collaborate with Producers and Account Managers Self-starters who value trust, flexibility, and accountability Benefits professionals who want autonomy—not micromanagement Why ALKEME?
