Schedule:
Sunday•Saturday, 12-hour shifts (days/nights, 7-7)
Job Specific Duties:
The type of work may include, but is not limited to, the following: Provide a full range of EMT-P services within the MTF and supported geographical area. Maintain proficiency in the operation of the ambulance radio equipment. Monitor and operate ambulance radio equipment as required by the circumstances. Provide the patient with the necessary and appropriate medical care, consistent with ambulance equipment and supplies, and personnel certification, training, and experience during transport. Control and properly dispose of all medical waste incurred during transport. Conduct routine restocking, cleaning, and disinfection of the vehicle, equipment, and supplies. Ensure the ambulances are safe to operate, sanitary, and properly functioning. Document all treatment provided to the patient during the patient's transport. Rapidly stabilizing the patient, according to Advance Life Support (ALS) protocol and EMS written protocols. Lift, place, and deliver patients to the receiving destinations for medical care. Place patients on monitors, administer needles, IVs, oxygen, or dressings. Carry patient records or baggage/belongings to the destination for patient care. Redress patient's wounds. In addition to pre-hospital duties, the contractor shall provide patient care such as conduct patient registration, triage, and screening in the assigned medical facility emergency room by emergency room protocols and within the scope of Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic training and experience. They shall also assist in cleaning all rooms, storing equipment, and assisting nurses and physicians in care of patients as delegated.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited NREMT program.
License/Certification and Training:
Possess and maintain certification as an
NREMT, NRAEMT, NRP
from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or applicable state EMT-P certification.
BLS/ACLS/PALS
required.
Experience:
One year of experience as an EMT, NREMT, NRAEMT or NRP after graduation.
Security:
Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
