Job Description

Company Overview Progress Inc. has been dedicated to providing, day, residential and employment supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and seniors in Nashville and surrounding counties for over 50 years. These services are provided primarily through ECF, CHOICES and DDA (Department of Disability and Aging) programs. We are committed to helping the people we support maintain as much independence as possible by fostering self-directed and inclusive environments that reduce the use and need for paid supports. A growing availability of technology solutions and person centered supports assists Progress Inc. with this mission. Job Summary Enabling / Assistive Technology (ex. medication dispensers, vibrating fire alarms, video monitoring, etc.) geared toward supporting individuals with various disabilities continues to advance and become available. Progress is seeking the best candidate to lead us through a credentialling process that will allow us to become recognized by Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) like Blue Care, United or Well Point as an enabling technology provider / vendor. Becoming a credentialed vendor will enable Progress to provide and service these technologies ourselves to those in need throughout our service area. The MCOs are the entities that provide referrals for services for disability technology thus it requires that we first meet their credentialling standards. In addition to the credentialling piece, once Progress is considered a credentialled vendor, an onsite Assistive Technology 'Lab' will be where technologies are showcased and serviced from. The Enabling Technology Implementation Specialist role will likely be initially considered a part-time role that once credentialling was completed would open the need for a full-time person to manage the vendor functions and onsite tech lab. •Salary within range posted is negotiable dependent upon relevant experience Duties Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tech vendors, MCOs, individuals with intellectual disabilities, Progress management team) Policy and procedure development relevant to enabling technologies and their role and impact with other operations. Project management through selecting and matching appropriate technologies with all stakeholders. Purchasing, exploring equipment options Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on project status and risks Lead training sessions on new assistive technologies and implementation procedures Requirements Excellent written, oral and computer communication skills Bachelor's Degree required Experience in the ID/DD field, preferably with a background working directly with this population, MCO's or DDA Strong attention to detail Working knowledge of available and emerging Enabling / Assistive Technology Project Management skills / background strongly preferred
