The Endo Tech assists department supervisors in coordinating daily work levels to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency throughout all department functions.Qualifications:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent Must obtain certification within first year of hirePreferred:
Endoscopy Certification preferred CST (Central Supply Technician) Certification preferred Scheduling Requirements Day ShiftFT Essential Functions:
Performs the activities within the department, including but not limited to: cleaning, decontamination, disinfection, assembly and storage of scopes and instruments must be able to identify & understand written data and be able to read/write alpha and numeric data accurately Maintains good personal working relationships Demonstrates initiative and concern for planning and time utilization Maintains proper dress code at all times Consistently seeks information or asks for assistance from appropriate personnel when necessary Demonstrates flexibility in changing work hours for special requirements Demonstrates a willingness to assist others as requested Consistently uses time for departmental advantage Actively attempts to increase his/her ability to perform other duties Regularly channels suggestions and criticisms to the appropriate person Maintains a cooperative working relationship with co-workers Demonstrates a willingness to learn new procedures Recognizes and assumes duties which need to be performed not directly assigned Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in areas of responsibility Provides proper notifications for absences Accepts direction and delegated assignments without demonstrating resentment or becoming argumentative Diagnostic and Invasive room/table setup using aseptic technique Participate in room turnover Proactive to minimize room turnover and scope processing Supply chain management Coordination of supply stock and ordering Assist with patient transport throughout the department Equipment Management and Coordination Competency and Proficiency with all equipment in the department Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide medical equipment support appropriate to the age of the patients Reports damaged or defective equipment/accessories to the appropriate leadership structure Preventative Maintenance workflow and troubleshooting workflow of all equipment Collaboration with vendor and local site biomedical engineering department for equipment maintenance and management Proficiency and competency in handling specimens from sterile field to container Participate in departmental On-Call for this job category Participate in invasive and diagnostic procedures Surgical scrub assistant for the provider during the invasive and diagnostic procedure Proficiency in scope handling, prepping, and troubleshooting during procedure Active participant in patient care during procedureOther Duties:
