What You Will Do Prototype & Launch Support:
Lead and support prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds for new and revised products Design for
Manufacturability:
Provide DFM/DFA input during design reviews and quoting activities
CNC Programming:
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for laser cutting, press brakes, tube benders, and robotic MIG welding cells
CAD-to-Production Execution:
Develop production-ready programs directly from 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
Process Troubleshooting:
Resolve cutting, forming, bending, and welding issues; reduce scrap and downtime using structured problem-solving methods
APQP & Launch Readiness:
Support APQP, PPAP, and launch activities including process validation and run-at-rate
Tooling & Standardized Work :
Design and improve tooling, fixtures, setup sheets, work instructions, and visual aids
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure manufacturing processes meet IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements
Continuous Improvement:
Lead or support safety, throughput, and process capability improvement initiatives
Equipment & Automation Support :
Support new equipment, automation, and robotic cell installation, debug, and optimization What You Bring Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience, preferred. 3-5 years of experience supporting CNC manufacturing processes in a metal stamping or fabrication environment Hands-on experience with multiple of the following: CNC laser cutting Press brake forming CNC tube bending Robotic MIG welding cells Strong CAD/CAM skills, with the ability to independently create and modify programs Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and welding symbols Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills Comfortable working independently on the manufacturing floor and supporting multiple production areas Preferred Qualifications Experience in an
IATF 16949
automotive or heavy truck environment Familiarity with OEM or Tier 1 customer-specific requirements Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Amada Dr. Abe, RoboGuide, or similar Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, and launch activities Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
