Position Overview Viskase operates a viscose chemical extrusion facility in Loudon, Tennessee and is seeking a student to fill a full-time 15-month position as a co-op student in the Corporate Controls Engineering department. The Engineering Co‑Op Program provides students with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting process improvement, quality, and efficiency initiatives. The program develops practical engineering skills while building a pipeline of talent aligned with the organization's operational needs. Key Responsibilities Support Corporate Controls Engineering activities. Order and track materials as needed for Engineering projects. Assist engineers in preparing design documentation. Technical interface with external and internal customers. Assist plant operations in a technical capacity with troubleshooting controls related issues Other tasks as assigned

Education:

Completion of 2 years of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering program or a program in a closely related field (required)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent Written & Verbal communication Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. The co-op is always expected to work safely, in accordance with Viskase policies & procedures and generally recognized best practices. The co-op should be eager to learn - there is a large learning curve to the chemical & mechanical processes taking place at Viskase.
