Job Description

We are seeking skilled Engineering Technicians to support undersea tracking, test, and evaluation systems. These positions provide technical support to Navy programs in a hands-on environment, working with advanced electronic, acoustic, and mechanical systems.
This posting covers two levels:
Engineering Technician II (entry-level with 1+ year of experience) and Engineering Technician IV (senior-level with 5+ years of experience). Placement will be based on qualifications and experience. These positions

Responsibilities:
Engineering Technician II Support undersea tracking range operations by operating and maintaining range support systems (electronic, acoustic, video, mechanical, electro-hydraulic). Maintain logs, conduct trend analysis, and update range databases. Perform monthly system backups, software upgrades, and failure analysis reporting. Provide technical support for Fleet Validation/Verification and Range Tests (dockside and shipboard). Support design, fabrication, and assembly of developmental range test systems. Conduct depot-level repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of MK30 Target components and assemblies. Support turn-around, breakdown/reassembly, and troubleshooting of MK30 Targets and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs). Provide technical support for communications/radio equipment, parts research, and extended operational schedules. Engineering Technician IV Manage and track test items in the CATTS database from receipt to final disposition. Prepare, compile, and review test packages and ensure adherence to local procedures. Provide active status reporting on test schedules, issues, and recommendations. Maintain and update test databases, parts dictionaries, and tracking sequences. Monitor movement of components through test sequences to ensure timely completion. Support test engineers with research and historical analysis of test records. Handle classified and unclassified test item storage, inventory, and shipments. Maintain Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Failure Analysis Reports, and production control documentation. Ship and document classified/non-classified test items per Navy standards. Maintain ISO9000 lab manual instructions for production control processes. Required Qualifications Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current). Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or related field.
Experience:
Engineering Technician II:
1+ year relevant experience.
Engineering Technician IV:
5+ years relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Electronics troubleshooting and repair experience. Experience testing circuit cards and electronic assemblies.
