QUALITY ENGINEERING E8
Engineering is working with a prestigious aerospace client to hire a Quality Engineer to own quality on the production floor of a high-performance aerospace fabrication work center. If you thrive in fast-paced manufacturing, love solving problems at their root, and take real pride in flawless output, this role was built for you. This is a long term contract role requiring 30-40 hours a week on site in addition this role may require on-call availability outside standard working hours for remote support as needed. What you'll own You'll be the go-to quality authority for your area, not just checking boxes, but actively shaping how the team works. Root cause and corrective action Dig into nonconformances, identify the real cause, and drive fixes that stick. Process documentation and perform evaluations to restore product conformity. First Article Inspection reports Write, issue, and review FAI reports in line with applicable aerospace standards. Production planning reviews Ensure inspection requirements are built into the plan from the start, not bolted on at the end. Review planning for accuracy and adequacy so quality data is properly captured. Continuous improvement Lead 5S walkdowns and support initiatives that make the floor safer, cleaner, and more efficient. What our Customer is looking for: B.S. in Engineering or technical field from an accredited institution 4+ years of hands-on quality or manufacturing experience Proven root cause analysis and corrective action experience, ideally in aerospace Experience with nonconformance management systems and Material Review Boards Experience writing or approving production planning documentation Quality inspection experience and the ability to work independently on the floor Comfortable being on-call outside standard hours when remote support is needed Bonus points for... SAP proficiency Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Security clearance / ITAR notice This position requires access to information subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
