Schedule Pay Rate:
$54.41 per hour Your Impact As an Aeronautical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring launch vehicles meet strict performance and weight requirements. Your work will directly influence mission readiness, safety, and the success of aerospace programs that shape the future of technology and exploration. What You'll Do Mass Properties & Analysis Develop and maintain mass properties models for launch vehicles and subsystems Perform weight and balance analysis , including center of gravity and inertia calculations Establish and track design target weights throughout the project lifecycle Data & Reporting Maintain mass properties accounting systems and analyze trends Provide insights and updates to program leadership Support proposal evaluations, design reviews, and technical documentation Testing & Validation Conduct component weighing and verification to improve accuracy Ensure all mass properties data aligns with system requirements Collaboration & Communication Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams Present findings in technical reviews and program briefings Gather and communicate key data across departments
Required & Preferred Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field 0-5 years of engineering experience (early-career friendly) Basic understanding of CAD tools and applications Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate across teams and work independently when needed Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
