Avionics Systems Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona . Overview Responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core aircraft state and/or aircraft systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the next generation avionics platform. The role requires working with model-based systems engineering, avionics, and embedded systems in a hybrid environment. Responsibilities Develop, integrate, and verify aircraft systems monitoring and synoptics applications Collaborate on development and validation of systems and software requirements Design using model-based systems (preferably Simulink) Develop Arinc 661 graphics (preferred using Scade) Work with sensors used for aircraft position and navigation (Air Data, AHRS, GPS) Interface and integrate with aircraft systems such as flaps, gear, cabin pressure, and FADEC Qualifications Engineering or Computer Science degree Experience in model-based systems engineering, avionics, embedded systems, and avionics Knowledge of systems/software requirements development, validation, integration or verification Experience working with sensors for aircraft position and navigation systems Experience integrating or interfacing with aircraft systems such as flaps, gear, cabin pressure, or FADEC We thank all applicants for their interest.
