Job Description
Avionics/Aerospace Embedded Software Engineer! Job Description As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the verification, testing, integration, and development of software. Your role will involve upgrading code and performing development testing. You will utilize shell scripting and automated setups within a Windows environment, contributing to the verification process. Responsibilities Verify, test, and integrate software components. Develop and upgrade software code. Perform development testing and ensure software quality. Utilize shell scripting for automation and verification tasks. Work within the DO-178 process for avionics software. Essential Skills Expertise in embedded software development. Experience with DO-178 processes in aerospace, defense, or aviation industries. Basic understanding of PowerShell or shell scripting. Knowledge of verification setups for avionics software. Proficiency in embedded C, C++, and Python. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with power electronics and motor control. Familiarity with digital signal processors (DSP) such as TMS family from Texas Instruments. Experience in sensor and motorized valve technologies. Understanding of high power and water waste product systems. Experience with rigorous testing lifecycles in aerospace and defense applications. Work Environment The position is fully onsite in a large production warehouse with engineering offices located upstairs. The role offers flexibility in start and leave times, with most team members arriving between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM and working an 8-hour day. The position is a long-term contract, with extensions every 6 months, and many employees remain with the company for years. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Carson, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
