As an Aerospace Structural Analysis Engineer, you will design, analyze, evaluate, and certify metallic and composite structures across the full product lifecycle—from concept through production and sustainment. What a typical day looks like Partner with multidisciplinary teams to define structural architectures for ground vehicles, aircraft, and space hardware. Execute static and dynamic analyses to inform design decisions and validate requirements. Build and run finite element models; correlate with classical hand calculations to substantiate margins. Author clear, defensible substantiation and certification reports. Guide model-based definition, parametric CAD intent, and material/hardware selection with manufacturing and production in mind. Your toolkit Computer-Aided Engineering fundamentals and exposure to CAE toolchains. FEA simulation using tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS. Classical analysis methods and industry-standard hand-calculation approaches.
Knowledge of mechanical design principles:
parametric design, model-based definition, materials and fasteners, and manufacturing/production processes. What you bring Understanding of core engineering principles and practices. Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary design and development teams. Exposure to static and/or dynamic structural analyses. Ability to produce well-structured substantiation reports. Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry (preferred).
Bonus:
experience with weld analysis. Education and experience BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or a related engineering discipline and typically 2+ years of relevant experience. Language English — read, write, and speak. Physical requirements Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs/steps. Frequently perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions; fine motor dexterity required. Rarely lift or carry up to 25 lbs. Working conditions Rare exposure to outdoor elements (heat/cold, sun, precipitation). Rare exposure to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Rare exposure to loud noises.
