Job Description
Primary Focus will include:
Serve as a technical lead in the planning and delivery of airport civil infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage, utilities, and landside improvements. Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and construction documents to support project execution. Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D for surface modeling, grading, corridor design, and production of construction drawings. Interpret and apply applicable regulatory requirements, includingFAA AC 150
series, TSA guidelines, and state and local agency standards. Support construction-phase activities such as responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, performing field observations, and coordinating with airport operations to minimize impacts within active airfield environments. Participate in business development efforts, including preparation of technical proposals, fee estimates, and client presentations. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff while performing quality control reviews to maintain high design standards.What You'll Do:
Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions. Responsible for the discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and leadership and adherence to the schedule, and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects. Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation. Develops scope of work and level of effort and manages adherence to scope and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects within discipline. Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work within the technical discipline. Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives on complex or unusual engineering projects. Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline on complex or unusual engineering projects. Leads discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects. Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work for other disciplines on multi-discipline projects on complex or unusual engineering projects Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experienceWhat You'll Bring:

Uses refined technical skills to identify problems, develop appropriate solutions, and make good decisions, knowing what tools to use for effective solutions and optimal outcomes on projects.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of progressive experience, including substantial involvement in airport projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain. Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for aviation-related design applications. Strong understanding of airfield design principles, including geometry, grading, drainage, pavement design, utility coordination. Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
