Aerospace Quality Engineer

Direct Hire Beyond TalentEdge is recruiting for a Direct Hire Aerospace Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and customers to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with rigorous aerospace industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and government regulations Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supplier quality teams to reduce and eliminate production defects Prepare and maintain quality documentation by analyzing data and identifying trends Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes for compliance Support continuous improvement initiatives Determine conformance to specifications and assist in disposition of nonconforming material Interface directly with customers to resolve issues and clarify requirements Approve manufacturing routes prior to release and after changes Complete ERP transactions accurately and on time Lead root cause analysis efforts using tools such as DMAIC, 8D, and 5 Why Serve as a subject matter expert on new product development projects Support internal and external audits
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related field (Associate degree minimum required) Minimum 1 year of Quality Engineering experience Experience with
FAI, RCCA, SPC, PPAP, APQP
preferred Understanding of AS9100 preferred Strong MS Excel skills required Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection practices Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies preferred Passion for quality, problem-solving, process improvement, and customer satisfaction
Compensation & Benefits:
$70,000 - $95,000 annually 401(k) with company match Health insurance & HSA Dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off
