Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12+ Contract position with a client located inRochester, NY Pay Range:
$40/hr - $45/hr ( The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. )Position Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Perform tasks in a manufacturing and/or prototyping environment. Review and provide feedback on electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical drawings and designs. Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-products. Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure program schedule milestones are met. Own product schedule development - coordinate across disciplines to ensure agreement amongst stakeholders. Troubleshoot issues individually and collaboratively to find quick and safe solutions that minimize schedule delays. Balance multiple projects and priorities and communicate clearly to operations leadership. Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation. Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 2-8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment. Experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry. Familiarity with machinery, machine building, and precision engineering. Experience with Optical Metrology.
