ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a high-visibility team supporting the
E-3 AWACS
Division at Tinker Air Force Base as an Aviation Systems Engineer. You will serve as the primary Maintenance Crosstalk focal point — leading the engineering community's annual and semi-annual improvement forums, driving failure analysis from data to action, and ensuring the AWACS Division's systems improvement initiatives are documented, tracked, and resolved. identifies and eliminates the avionics and aircraft deficiencies that threaten E-3 operational readiness. This is a five (5) year full time contract position with benefits available. This position is 100% on site at Tinker
AFB. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Serve as the Maintenance Crosstalk focal point and primary facilitator for the
E-3 AWACS
Division, Oklahoma City Plan, prepare, schedule, coordinate, and facilitate annual and semi-annual engineering improvement meetings at Tinker AFB; provide interim status reports and track action items to closure Generate and deliver systems analysis reports and database queries to E-3 IPTs with sufficient detail to determine corrective courses of action Collect, review, and format briefings from Maintenance Cross-Talk Meeting speakers; ensure compliance with government-approved templates Post all approved meeting materials to the E-3 Working Groups website within required timelines, maintaining 100% currency Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, presentation packages, and conference minutes no later than 5 business days following the last day of each meeting Coordinate across organizational boundaries (552 ACW, AFLCMC/WIW, IPTs, OEM representatives) to drive complete and actionable engineering cross-talk
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS U.S.
Citizen Active DoD SECRET Clearance Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical discipline; OR equivalent combination of education and 10+ years of military/defense sustainment experience Minimum 6 years of experience in aircraft sustainment engineering, integrated logistics support, or systems engineering within a DoD program office or contractor support environment Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate multi-stakeholder technical working groups, annual/semi-annual reviews, and formal Maintenance Crosstalk-type forums Experience analyzing failure and maintenance data and preparing engineering briefings and reports for senior government/military leadership
