Job Description

Johnson Service Group is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to support advanced aerospace and defense programs for our client in OKC, OK. This position supports the development, integration, and testing of avionics systems for military and aerospace platforms. Responsibilities Support design, integration, and verification of avionics systems and mission computer architectures Analyze and troubleshoot avionics hardware/software interfaces Work with various aircraft data bus architectures including
MIL-STD-1553, ARINC
429, Ethernet, CAN bus, and related communication protocols Develop system requirements, interface control documents, and test procedures Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and systems integration lab testing Coordinate with software, systems, electrical, and test engineering teams Assist with system validation, troubleshooting, and flight test support activities Ensure compliance with customer, military, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field Experience with avionics systems, mission computers, and aircraft integration Someone familiar with the workings of avionics and mission computers Someone who knows different types of data bus architectures and applications Knowledge of avionics communication protocols and data bus architectures Familiarity with military aerospace systems preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and interface documentation Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain clearance preferred Preferred Experience UAV, military aircraft, or defense systems experience Experience supporting system integration and flight test activities Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254, or aerospace development standards Experience using lab test equipment and avionics diagnostic tools •Johnson Service Group (JSG) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
