Dallas, TX Area (Onsite)
Compensation:
Up to $185,000 Base Salary Relocation Assistance Available for the Right Candidate Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Aviation Systems Engineer to support the development, verification, qualification, and compliance of safety-critical electronic systems within a highly regulated aviation environment. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure products meet regulatory, performance, safety, and airworthiness requirements throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting aviation, aerospace, avionics, or other regulated electronic systems programs involving certification, verification, validation, and qualification testing activities. Key Responsibilities Support system verification, validation, qualification, and compliance activities. Develop and execute verification plans, test procedures, and qualification documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements. Support requirements traceability, design reviews, and certification deliverables. Coordinate with hardware, software, systems, and test engineering teams throughout product development. Participate in environmental, functional, and qualification testing activities. Assist with root cause investigations, corrective actions, and engineering assessments. Interface with internal stakeholders and external regulatory representatives as required. Support certification efforts from product development through final approval and release. Lead qualification and verification test activities, including coordination of laboratory resources, test schedules, and certification-related deliverables. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline. 8+ years of experience in aviation, aerospace, avionics, defense electronics, or other highly regulated industries. Experience supporting verification, validation, qualification, certification, or compliance programs. Working knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and certification processes. Experience with requirements management, technical documentation, and test execution. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following: DO-160 DO-178C DO-254 FAA certification processes Airworthiness compliance activities Additional preferred experience: Safety-critical electronic or embedded systems Systems engineering methodologies Requirements traceability Product qualification and certification programs Cross-functional engineering collaboration Why Consider This Opportunity?
