Job Description

For a One Day Summit Position Overview iUrban Teen seeks dynamic workshop presenters to design and facilitate an interactive 50-minute workshop for middle and high school students during our Aerospace Summit. Presenters will inspire students through hands-on learning that introduces aerospace careers, engineering concepts, aviation, space exploration, advanced technology, or related STEM fields. Students should leave the session with new knowledge, practical experience, and a stronger understanding of career pathways in the aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver one 50-minute interactive workshop for students ages 13 to 18.
  • Create a hands-on learning experience that actively engages every participant.
  • Connect workshop activities to real-world aerospace careers and current industry trends.
  • Incorporate problem solving, teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking throughout the session.
  • Bring all presentation materials, activity supplies, and technology required to conduct the workshop, unless otherwise arranged.
  • Maintain an inclusive, welcoming, and culturally responsive learning environment.
  • Encourage student participation through demonstrations, discussions, and experiential learning.
  • Adapt instruction to accommodate students with different learning styles and experience levels.
  • Participate in a brief pre-event orientation with the iUrban Teen team.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before the workshop begins for setup. Workshop Requirements
  • Last 50 minutes and repeat two more times.
  • Include a minimum of 30 minutes of hands-on activities.
  • Be appropriate for students with little or no aerospace experience.
  • Highlight practical applications of aerospace technology.
  • Include opportunities for students to ask questions and interact with the presenter.
  • Inspire students to explore future education and career opportunities in aerospace. Example Topics

  • Professional experience in aerospace, aviation, engineering, manufacturing, robotics, defense, space exploration, or a related STEM field.
  • Experience teaching, mentoring, or presenting to youth.
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills.
  • Passion for inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and expanding opportunities for underrepresented students. Deliverables
