For a One Day Summit Position Overview iUrban Teen seeks dynamic workshop presenters to design and facilitate an interactive 50-minute workshop for middle and high school students during our Aerospace Summit. Presenters will inspire students through hands-on learning that introduces aerospace careers, engineering concepts, aviation, space exploration, advanced technology, or related STEM fields. Students should leave the session with new knowledge, practical experience, and a stronger understanding of career pathways in the aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver one 50-minute interactive workshop for students ages 13 to 18.
- Create a hands-on learning experience that actively engages every participant.
- Connect workshop activities to real-world aerospace careers and current industry trends.
- Incorporate problem solving, teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking throughout the session.
- Bring all presentation materials, activity supplies, and technology required to conduct the workshop, unless otherwise arranged.
- Maintain an inclusive, welcoming, and culturally responsive learning environment.
- Encourage student participation through demonstrations, discussions, and experiential learning.
- Adapt instruction to accommodate students with different learning styles and experience levels.
- Participate in a brief pre-event orientation with the iUrban Teen team.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before the workshop begins for setup. Workshop Requirements
- Last 50 minutes and repeat two more times.
- Include a minimum of 30 minutes of hands-on activities.
- Be appropriate for students with little or no aerospace experience.
- Highlight practical applications of aerospace technology.
- Include opportunities for students to ask questions and interact with the presenter.
