Job Description

Department Energy Job Posting Title Energy Manager, Energy Division Job Description The Energy Manager position involves the use of specialized skills in HVAC controls, medium voltage 15KV, peaking generation, wind turbines, and associated switchgear, including electric meters. Monitors the organization's energy use, develop strategies to reduce energy use and demand. Maintains and completes energy audits for university owned buildings. Purchases natural gas and watches markets to develop strategies to minimize financial losses. Be proficient with Tridium Niagara N4 control system, design control logic, trouble shoot control related issues, design and build control panels, do field installs of control related parts. This position reports to the Director of Energy Management.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a high-school diploma or GED equivalency and three years of experience with Niagara N4 software, 15KV generation, wind turbines, and switchgear.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, in related fields Energy manager certification 5 or more years of experience in HVAC controls and 15KV equipment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop energy audits for campus buildings Purchase natural gas, follow markets Review of electric rate tariffs Evaluate peaking and wind performance, make changes as required Review of electric usage and peak demand of campus facilities Complete EIA860 and EIA923 federal forms Maintain electric meter server and meters Trouble shoot and program VFDs Maintain 15KV switches and gas pressures Operate 15KV breakers as required Check and make adjustment to wind turbine operation Trouble shoot PLC controllers for generation and switchgear facilities Maintain fault protection relays Develop logic control programming for HVAC control equipment Install HVAC control equipment Design and build HVAC control enclosures Commission and troubleshoot control issues Create graphics for control system Design Lon and BacNet MSTP, IP, ModBus communication networks Do plan take offs for ordering control parts Maintain network switches for HVAC equipment Maintain buildings system control server, update software, trouble shoot application errors Being proficient with Tridium Niagara N4 Respond to power outages and control related issues after hours Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs Must be able to climb ladders

$27.00/ hour
