Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Energy Marshal / LOTO Superintendent to join our growing Mission Critical Division supporting large-scale data center construction and commissioning projects. This role serves as the on-site authority for hazardous energy control, lockout/tagout (LOTO) compliance, and electrical safety management throughout all phases of construction, commissioning, and energization. , energized work practices, commissioning coordination, and complex electrical distribution systems. This individual will play a critical role in protecting personnel, equipment, and project schedules by ensuring all energy isolation and energization activities are executed safely and in strict compliance with established standards. Key Responsibilities Energy Isolation & LOTO Management Serve as the primary authority for Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) implementation and enforcement on site. Develop, review, and approve energy isolation procedures for electrical and mechanical systems. Verify isolation points, ensure stored energy is safely dissipated, and confirm zero-energy states before work begins. Maintain comprehensive LOTO documentation, permits, logs, and compliance records. Energization & Commissioning Support Coordinate with commissioning teams, contractors, and project leadership to safely execute energization activities. Develop detailed switching procedures and step-by-step energization plans for medium- and low-voltage electrical systems. Participate in commissioning planning, startup activities, and operational readiness reviews. Support turnover activities from construction through commissioning and owner acceptance. requirements and company electrical safety programs. Conduct field audits, inspections, and safety observations to ensure compliance with project procedures. Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and LOTO training sessions for contractors and project personnel. Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while implementing corrective actions. Risk Management Identify and mitigate hazards associated with electrical systems, arc flash exposure, stored energy, and energized equipment. Ensure proper PPE selection and utilization in accordance with
NFPA 70E
requirements. Act as a safety advocate and mentor, fostering a culture of accountability and hazard awareness across the project site. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, commissioning, or mission-critical environments. 3+ years serving as an Electrical Superintendent, LOTO Coordinator, Energy Marshal, or equivalent leadership role. Proven experience supporting large-scale data center, industrial, utility, or mission-critical projects. Extensive knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and hazardous energy control programs. Strong understanding of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution systems. Demonstrated experience coordinating complex energization and commissioning activities. Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and switching procedures. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications
