Job Description

Step into a once-in-a-generation opportunity as a Technical Director in Santa Fe, NM, helping lead one of the largest renewable energy transmission projects in the United States. This unique organization operates as a governmental instrumentality with private-sector flexibility, driving a $26B clean energy initiative that will impact millions across the state. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping grid infrastructure, renewable deployment, and energy policy at the highest levels. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Technical Director position include:
  • Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in science or technology
  • Provide high-level technical leadership supporting renewable energy, storage, and transmission initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute technical insights in collaborative committee and regulatory settings
  • Represent the organization on development committees and in public venues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of transmission infrastructure and grid operations (preferred)
  • Support renewable and transmission project planning and execution
  • Experience navigating federal and state regulatory environments (preferred)
  • Provide technical support before PRC, FERC, RTOs, and other regulatory bodies
  • Familiarity with utility planning processes (preferred)
  • Align development initiatives with utility and grid requirements
  • Knowledge of renewable energy, energy storage regulations, FERC regulations, and power markets (preferred)
  • Monitor and interpret statutory and regulatory developments
  • Technical leadership and contract coordination experience
  • Manage and collaborate with contract Electrical Engineers to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Salary :
$150,000
  • $190,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
