Supervise and lead an onsite team of Biomedical Equipment Technicians supporting Alameda Health System Plan, assign, and direct daily activities related to equipment repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance Spend a minimum of 50% of time in supervisory responsibilities, with the remaining time performing technical work in the resident office Develop, monitor, and control budgets to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations Manage employee performance including hiring, discipline, promotions, evaluations, and salary adjustments Provide technical training in equipment operation, repair, preventive maintenance, quality assurance practices, and documentation Evaluate equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs with minimal supervision Assist with the evaluation of new equipment and recommend electrical and functional conformance to standards Participate in hazard identification and medical device reporting to support a safe patient care environment Instruct clinical staff on safe equipment operation as needed Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on medical equipment Maintain service documentation, files, and parts inventory Achieve established productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics Participate in on-call rotation as required Perform other duties as assigned What You Will Need for This Role? A two-year Associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or an equivalent technical program; Bachelor's degree preferred Three to five years of experience in the Biomedical Equipment field Preferred certification by the International Certification Commission as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
