Background & Context:
The Organization is looking for a motivated and team-oriented individual who is passionate about next generation sequencing technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Become an expert on the operation and functionality of the client's Sequencing Platform and Sample Prep platform to ensure minimal system down time Work with the engineering teams on resolving discovered issues and propose solutions to common failure modes Support the lab teams with system troubleshooting both at the hardware/software level and the assay level Execute experiments and testing protocols to ensure platform functionality Clearly and timely communicate and collaborate across system, device, instrument, and reagent teams in root cause investigation findings and solution implementations Help design, troubleshoot, and perform instrument development in a fast-paced environment Good understanding of statistical methods Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualification & Experience:
B.S. with 1-2+ years of experience in a Bioengineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechatronics, or a related disciple Troubleshooting experience in development or operations of microfluidics, liquid handler, diagnostic systems, NGS systems. Experience in failure analysis and/or defect management is a plus. Understanding of sequencing methodologies Ability to perform statistical analysis of data with programs such as JMP, R, etc. Familiarity with computer programming in languages such as Python is a plus. Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic record keeping skills Strong oral and written communication skills Self-motivated and able to work well in a team Willing to work in a lab setting
