Job Description

Job Requirements We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biomed Technician I to join our Clinical Engineering team. In this entry-level position, you will support the maintenance, inspection, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment to help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient patient care. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise within a collaborative healthcare environment. Work Experience Responsibilites Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, calibrations, and functional testing on a variety of biomedical equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medical devices in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards. Accurately document maintenance, testing, and repair activities while maintaining up-to-date equipment records. Partner with clinical staff to promptly resolve equipment-related issues and minimize downtime. Assist with the installation, setup, and acceptance testing of new medical equipment. Support inventory management activities, including tracking parts, supplies, and equipment status. Maintain compliance with hospital safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures. Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Foundational knowledge of biomedical equipment and clinical engineering concepts. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting while demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
