Job Description

•Req Number•172629 Job Description Ensures the calibration, repair and preventative maintenance of laboratory and research equipment. Provides advice and guidance to Junior Biomedical Engineering Specialist. Performs preventative maintenance and calibration of patient, lab, and research equipment in assigned areas. Exhibits positive and efficient communication in order to provide a safe environment. Job Responsibility + Trouble-shoots, repairs and calibrates patient, lab and research equipment. + Provides advice and guidance to Junior Biomedical Engineering Specialist. + Performs preventive maintenance and calibration of patient, lab, and research equipment in assigned areas. + Verifies agreement with manufacturer's specifications by making test devices and testing equipment. + Inspects and evaluates incoming equipment. + Performs related duties, as required. Job Qualification + High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Knowledge of advanced mathematics and basic medical sciences as normally acquired through completion of two (2) years college or technical school. + Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible related work experience to ensure familiarity with calibration techniques and proper maintenance of equipment, required. + Proficient with the use of basic tools and techniques strongly preferred + Ability to Demonstrate Excellent organizational skills preferred + Proficient in Basic Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Preferred + General Knowledge of bed side monitoring and telemetry equipment preferred. + Experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting preferred. •Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
