3D Parametric Computational Designer

Job Overview Bemo USA is looking for 3D parametric designer and modeler with 2-5 years of experience who is passionate about their craft, eager to expand their skills, and excited to grow long-term with our team. In this role, you will develop detailed, three-dimensional roof and facade models for buildings and other structures based on 3d architectural and structural files. Duties Create or modify detailed, three-dimensional construction models of building envelope assemblies based on 3d architectural and structural files Parametric (Grasshopper based) script modelling and fabrication design for roof and facades assemblies and components Work in collaboration with architects, engineers, and other designers to create models and assist with design Work with sale department to develop preliminary 3d models and take-offs Calculation of material quantities and release of materials for fabrication by our manufacturing facility Positive attitude and high level of enthusiasm for our Company, employees, and products Enthusiastic, eager to learn, self-motivated, and works well in a fast-paced team environment Ability to work simultaneously on multiple complex designs, a plus Experience

• Proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper - required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MS Office software (Word, Excel Outlook) - required
• Demonstrated experience supporting architectural or construction work for commercial building projects (building envelope, excluding utilities), with knowledge of sheet metal systems used in metal roofing and wall panel applications, is strongly preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction/architectural drawings and documents
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, project managers, and installers on projects
• Converting 3d design geometry into fabrication ready components (CNC ready files for flattened parts, etc.)
• Using parametric tools to design, model, detect clashes, provide BOM, reduce materials, produce fabrication files, etc.
• Issue fabrication drawings
• Professional image and attitude including punctuality
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn, self-motivated, and works well in a fast-paced team environment
• Experience in drafting/design for commercial/industrial roofing and/or metal claddings projects, a plus
• Experience in production of fabrication drawings, a plus
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple complex designs, a plus
• Strict attention to detail is a must
• 2-5 years' experience in architectural and construction modeling
• Drafting certificate/degree, a plus

From $31.00 per hour
