3D Parametric Designer Job Description We are seeking a talented individual to support the design and drafting for roofing layouts and wall systems & panels. This role involves editing specifications from predesigned drawings rather than creating new designs from scratch. The ideal candidate will create or modify 2D/3D details and drawings according to architectural plans, engineering updates, and sales requests. Additionally, the role includes compiling drawing packages for submittal and manufacture, calculating material quantities, and releasing materials for fabrication by our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Create or modify 2D/3D details and drawings based on architectural plans, engineering updates, and sales requests. Compile drawing packages for submittal and manufacture. Calculate material quantities and facilitate the release of materials for fabrication. Maintain organization of shared folders. Assist with various CAD/project support tasks. Demonstrate a positive attitude and high level of enthusiasm for our company, employees, and products. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting. Proficiency in Rhino 3D and the ability to extract data for fabrication (7/10 proficiency). Experience in AutoCAD with medium proficiency (5/10). Minimum of 1 project experience in commercial construction. Exposure to architectural scopes. Ability to extract panel size and specifications from drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit (7/10 proficiency). Experience in designing roofing systems. Work Environment This is an on-site position located in the Mesa office, operating Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break. The work culture is fast-paced, emphasizing a team-oriented attitude. The team handles a wide variety of projects ranging from 5,000 sq ft to 200,000 sq ft roofs, including some exciting stadium projects. This role provides a great opportunity to develop drafting and design skills while working on challenging and aesthetically pleasing projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
