Our extensive workforce includes both union and nonunion teams, which, combined with our specialized equipment fleet, allows us to effectively meet our clients' needs for power delivery, emergency restoration, and ongoing maintenance. We've been involved in some of the most challenging and recognizable electric projects across the U.S. From the electric plant to the end users, MasTec's experienced managers and crews consistently deliver transmission, distribution, and substation & switchyard services with an unfailing commitment to safety, integrity, and sustainable practices. Responsibilities Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings using various Autodesk products and other design software; Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, PLS-CAD, Trimble, etc. from surveyed field notes, photos, or other source documents. Utilize survey data to produce and maintain detailed drawings such as but not limited to; grading plans, erosion protection plans, permitting documents, site plans, site specific details, plan & profiles, cross-sections, typical sections, etc. Prepare construction permits for placement of infrastructure (e.g., encroachment, Right-Of-Way, easement, Traffic Control). General document preparation and data entry, and filling out associated documents as needed. Meet with the management team weekly on the project status. Ability to work multiple projects at the same time and meet all requirements. Communicate and help resolve any fielding document issues with internal and external customers. Comply with all safety requirements- reinforce all internal and external safety practices and policies. (e.g., OSHA, NEC, PPE, etc.). Prepare High Level Designs in CAD format when required. Recognize process waste and suggest changes. Ensure engineering/design activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall schedule. Work safely - Commitment to work safely in a manner that is consistent with company values and policies. Participate in safety-oriented culture by reading safety memos, listening to industry experts, and watching out for fellow employees. Qualifications Be a self-starter High attention to detail Maintain a high level of professional communication skills through email, phone, video, or text Time management; prioritizing work and documenting tasks. Report project anomalies to team members through established tools or verbally. Wearing and utilizing all required safety PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) with situational awareness. Work in a safe manner always. This includes but is not limited to driving safely, stretching twice a day, good posture / ergonomics, and following all safety rules. Maintain an organized workstation and filing system on your computer Punctual for daily start time and meetings. Fill out time keeping / accounting documentation on a daily or weekly basis. Work after normal hours as needed. Keeping a current state driver's license without restrictions. Experience 3+ years of professional experience in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D 3+ years of professional experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
