WOODPATEL
has immediate openings for full-time CAD Technicians and Designers in our Phoenix and Mesa offices who will work within a team environment supporting our Land Development Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities will vary based on experience level and may include: Assemble construction plans and assist the design team with submittals to reviewing agencies Prepare electronic drawings using company CAD standards from marked-up plans and/or verbal instruction Work with Project Managers and Engineers to design sites and subdivisions including roadways, utilities, grading, and drainage Create and maintain base files, alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, and earthwork models using Civil 3D Modify construction documents to reflect agency review comments Produce quantities and assist with cost estimates as needed Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other CAD team members Organize and schedule work to meet project budgets and deadlines Plot and publish plans and exhibits as required May provide guidance and/or review work of lower-level CAD staff
Requirements:
CAD Technicians:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with AutoCAD and Civil 3
D Designers:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Civil 3D Experience developing construction plans for sites and subdivisions including roadways, grading, drainage, water, and sewer systems Strong drafting and plan production background Detail-oriented and well organized Ability to work effectively with limited supervision Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills Benefits Competitive pay commensurate with experience Generous Paid Time Off plan and paid holidays Flexible schedules including ½-day Fridays Health, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) with employer matching Short- and long-term disability and life insurance Employee Assistance Program In-house training events and mentoring opportunities
