CAD Drafter - BOM Setup Specialist

Job Overview :

Covid Audio Visual, a Tempe based, leader in the design and manufacturing of audio-visual connectivity equipment, is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter and Bill of Materials (BOM) Setup Specialist to join our engineering and production team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, has technical drawing skills, and understands the importance of accurate documentation in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Create and revise technical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software Implement revisions and updates to CAD files and BOMs as part of the change control process Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all assigned projects Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure BOMs reflect current design and manufacturing standards Ensure drawings and documentation are aligned with company standards and customer specifications Generate material and labor estimates based on drawings and specifications for quoting and planning purposes

Qualifications:

3-4 Years of experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) Understanding of BOM structures, components, and manufacturing processes. Experience creating and managing BOMs in ERP systems Familiarity with estimating practices in a manufacturing setting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Familiarity with manufacturing processes and material specifications is a plus Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
