Job Description

We are looking for a CAD Drafter to support utility drafting work for underground gas pipeline projects in Tucson, Arizona. This Long-term Contract position focuses on producing and updating detailed drawings by translating field information, survey details, and engineering notes into accurate documentation. The role works closely with technical and field stakeholders to keep records current, support design quality, and maintain compliance with applicable standards and safety expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify CAD drawings for underground gas distribution assets, including mains, service lines, and related components.
  • Convert survey results, field observations, and engineering annotations into precise as-built documentation.
  • Maintain and update utility mapping records to reflect current system conditions and project changes.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to confirm drawing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review completed drafting work to verify completeness, consistency, and alignment with company and industry requirements.
  • Incorporate redline markups and field-driven revisions into final drawing packages in a timely manner.
  • Help ensure drafting deliverables follow established specifications, regulatory expectations, and safety-related standards.
