Role Description This is a part-time or full-time, on-site AutoCAD Drafter role based in Laguna Beach, CA. The AutoCAD Drafter will translate design concepts and specifications into precise technical and architectural drawings for custom kitchen and interior projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include producing detailed shop drawings, updating plans based on design revisions, and ensuring drawings align with Poggenpohl standards and project requirements. The role involves coordinating with designers, project managers, and installers to clarify dimensions, materials, and installation details, as well as preparing documentation packages for approvals and fabrication. The drafter will also maintain organized drawing files, adhere to project timelines, and support quality control by reviewing drawings for accuracy and completeness. Qualifications Strong technical drawing skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software, and the ability to interpret and produce detailed plans. Experience creating shop drawings, including fabrication-ready details, sections, elevations, and installation diagrams for cabinetry or millwork. Background in architectural drawings and architecture concepts, with the ability to read, understand, and coordinate with architectural and construction documents. Ability to convert design intent into clear, accurate drawings, with careful attention to dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications. Previous experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, interior design, or millwork drafting is highly beneficial. Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Effective communication skills for collaborating with designers, project managers, and external partners. Associate or bachelor's degree in drafting, architecture, interior design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
