CAD Technician

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.
• Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD).
• Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
• Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
• Other duties as assigned by management. Ability to work in all AutoCAD versions and be able to quickly adapt to new CAD standards and procedures.
• Strong background in customer service preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, required.
• Be able to create and maintain accurate drawings and documents in a timely manner.
• Be able to read blueprints, drawing and specifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple assignments.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be a strong team player.
• Must be able to keep track of time worked on projects and apply time towards each project worked to maintain utilization.
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings
• Support and operate associated plotters and printers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are the requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.

• 3 to 5 years CAD experience, knowledge in low voltage systems pertaining to security and life safety systems preferred.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
