Job Description
Hiring for a CAD Designer in Berlin! Job Description The CAD Designer is responsible for supporting senior engineers by creating and maintaining detailed CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks. This role involves translating engineering concepts into manufacturable designs while supporting product development, tooling, and production needs. The designer collaborates closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities Create and maintain detailed CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks. Translate engineering concepts into manufacturable designs. Support product development, tooling, and production needs. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. Produce technical documentation to support designs. Essential Skills 2-3 years of experience in CAD design. Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks. Ability to create accurate 2D and 3D models and drawings. Strong blueprint interpretation skills. High attention to detail with disciplined documentation habits. Strong communication skills and comfort working with engineers and production teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Working knowledge of GD&T. Exposure to machining, tooling, or precision manufacturing processes. Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Visualize, or related tools. Basic experience with design analysis, simulations, or feasibility studies. Any ERP exposure, with JobBoss being a plus. Work Environment This is an onsite role located in Berlin, Connecticut, requiring close interaction with engineering, machining, and production teams. The work environment is a hands-on manufacturing setting, not limited to desk-only design tasks. The role follows a standard weekday schedule with overtime usually available. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
