• 4:00 PM Industry administrative & support services (Office and Administrative Support Occupations) Reference number S_175596 Spherion Fort Myers is seeking a skilled Draftsman/Detailer with experience interpreting construction drawings and structural plans, ready to play a key role in delivering precision projects.

If you are an experienced Structural Steel Detailer looking to join a leading fabricator trusted by Commercial General Contractors and the Industrial sector, this is the opportunity for you. Compensation is based on expereince, this opportunity will include a full benefit package and 401k program.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural steel shop drawings for fabrication and erection.
• Interpret construction and structural engineering plans, ensuring accurate translation into fabrication details.
• Collaborate directly with project managers, engineers, and Commercial General Contractors.
• Review and coordinate drawings to identify conflicts and provide solutions.
• Produce erection drawings, shop drawings, and gather details essential for manufacturing and field operations.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.

• Experience creating standard shop fabrication drawings is a must.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, engineers, and shop teams.
• Experience detailing for both Commercial Construction and Industrial Projects is a plus

Education:

High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer or Draftsman.
• Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, SDS2, Tekla Structures, or similar detailing programs.
• Deep understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection practices.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction and structural plans.
