Lakeland, FL We are seeking a CAD Draftsman with a robust design ‑build experience to produce and coordinate detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for trash, linen, and recycling chute systems , including compactors, bi-sorters, and tenant storage locker systems . This role supports fast‑paced commercial and multi‑family projects from early design through final installation. Key Responsibilities Develop construction‑ready AutoCAD shop drawings, layouts, sections, and elevations Design and coordinate trash, linen, and recycling chute systems within a design‑build workflow Collaborate early with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve design conflicts Layout compactors, bi-sorters, and auxiliary equipment within shaft and room constraints Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings for full system coordination Manage drawing revisions based on RFIs, field conditions, and constructability reviews Maintain CAD standards, and organized project documentation Required Qualifications Advanced AutoCAD proficiency Strong PC and technical drafting skills Proven experience in a design‑build construction environment In-depth knowledge of trash chute systems , HVAC, or mechanical/fabrication drawings Extremely detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet aggressive schedules Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Self-starter who can manage tasks independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams Preferred Experience 5+ years of CAD drafting in mechanical or specialty construction Experience producing shop and fabrication-level drawings Multi-family, high-rise, or commercial project experience What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Long-term opportunity in a specialized design‑build construction niche Benefits available (PTO, insurance, etc.)
