Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Glass and Glazing Drafter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in architectural drafting principles and be proficient in various design software. This role involves creating detailed drawings and schematics that support engineering and architectural projects. The Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. Duties Develop detailed shop drawings and plans using AutoCAD software and AutoCad Fusion 3D, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Create fabrication drawings from shop drawings using both CAD 3D and CAM Utilize software such as Autocad 3D, Fusion, Revit, SolidWorks, a to produce high-quality designs. Collaborate with construction managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs. Review and revise drawings based on client or project manager feedback. Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for future reference. Assist in the development of project documentation and reports as needed. Requirements Proficiency in AutoCad software (minimum 5 years
  • glass and glazing industry experience); experience with Autocad 3D, Revit, Fusion, SolidWorks, or other CAD/CAM programs is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of architectural design principles and the ability to create accurate shop drawings. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and receive constructive feedback. Familiarity with building codes and industry standards related to drafting is a plus. A degree or certification in drafting or a related field is mandatory.
