In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to create accurate and detailed technical drawings of MWI products to establish technical specifications. Follow design and standard practices and drafting concepts within the manufacturing industry. Your expertise in SolidWorks 2024 will be crucial in designing, modifying, and finalizing components and assemblies that meet all technical specifications. Other related duties as assigned by management or as developed due to business necessity and growth. An onsite skill assessment/test will be administered. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, models, and assemblies using SolidWorks 2024. Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), exploded views, and annotations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets. Perform design revisions and updates based on feedback or engineering change requests. Conduct feasibility studies and simulations using SolidWorks tools to validate design integrity and performance. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and internal design guidelines. Maintain organized file management within the ERP system to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Implement all necessary procedures required for ISO Expected Skill Level Proficiency in SolidWorks 2024, including advanced modeling, simulation, and rendering tools. Proven experience in drafting and design for [relevant industries, e.g., manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, etc.]. Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Familiarity with standard drafting practices, engineering principles, and material properties. Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while independent and autonomous Exceptional work ethics Preferred Certification in SolidWorks (e.g., Certified SolidWorks Professional - CSWP). Experience with additional CAD tools or software. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, or welding.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, sit, see, feel, walk, talk, hear, bend, lift, crouch, crawl, kneel, squat, climb, push, and pull.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment with some exposure to factory. Extended and weekend work may be required.
Travel Requirements:
Less than 10% travel may be required.
