Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software to support architectural, civil, or mechanical projects. Create schematics, layouts, and technical illustrations that meet project requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise CAD models. Utilize software such as SketchUp, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, NavisWorks, SolidWorks, and 2D animation tools to enhance design accuracy and visualization. Prepare construction documents, plans, sections, elevations, and details for use in building or infrastructure projects. Review drawings for errors or inconsistencies; revise designs based on feedback or updated specifications. Maintain organized CAD files and documentation to ensure seamless project workflows and revisions. Requirements Proven experience with AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks is highly desirable. Strong understanding of drafting standards and construction documentation processes. Knowledge of mechanical design principles and schematics development. Ability to produce accurate 2D drawings and basic 3D models efficiently. Experience working on civil engineering or construction projects is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. A degree or diploma in Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields is preferred.
